After working for 20 years in social care Andrew recognised the need for a specialist HR provider with an understanding of the unique workforce, regulatory and funding pressures which this sector faces. Pivotal HR was created to offer these expert services professionally and cost effectively.

Janet Janet Simkins has over 15 years experience as a senior HR professional working extensively across the social housing, care and voluntary sectors. Janet drives forward ethical employment practice to develop flexible organisations that deliver high quality, person centred services. Janet has a keen interest in employment law, organisational development, employee engagement and delivering sustainable change. Janet is a qualified mediator and licenced to deliver psychometric instruments.

Tricia Palmer


HR Consultant and NLP Practitioner

Tricia Tricia is an HR, Organisational Development and Change Management consultant. Before joining Pivotal HR Tricia worked extensively across the public sector at Director level for both Kent and Medway County Councils. Tricia’s professional experience provides her with an in-depth understanding of the workforce and leadership challenges facing the social care and education sectors. Tricia is an NLP qualified practitioner, an experienced project manager, specialising in leadership training and executive coaching. Tricia is committed to supporting social care managers and leaders in workforce matters, and raising employee potential through excellent HR management . Tricia believes that effective management of people is the cornerstone of high quality cost effective service delivery.

Donna Carty

Trainer and Mediator

Donna Donna Carty has over 15 years experience as a trainer, coach and manager. She has worked extensively in the public and voluntary sectors, having spent many years working in housing and social care. All of her work has been person and people skills focussed; training in the areas of assertiveness, time management, boundaries and team building. Donna is now a trained coach and NLP Master Practitioner.

Aisling Howley



Aisling Aisling Howley has more than 20 years experience in social care working at senior management level in operations, business development and training. Aisling is qualified to masters level in Psychology and has an MBA. Aisling is an experienced trainer specilaising in a variety of topics including mental health, domestic violence, safeguarding, time management, conflict management and working with challenging behaviour. Aisling is also a trained coach.

Becky Becky Walsh is an independent marketing and PR consultant that takes new ideas and turns them into a strategic marketing plan that delivers practical marketing activities and ROI for her clients. She has worked with a wide range of both B2B and B2C organisations in the UK, Monaco and Middle East. She has key skills in retail, marine, food & drink, antiques, leisure and charities. As well as Pivotal HR, she works with an award-winning London design agency, a leading antiques dealer, a UK wide skatepark company and one of Dorset's finest gastro pubs and butcheries.
